How It`s Done

The veg tan leather is moistened and the pattern is traced on to it

 

The tracing is then cut into the leather using a swivel knife shown here next to the project on the marble slab which is the working surface

 

The cut lines are then bevelled on the appropriate side of the cut line using the bevellers shown and a mallet or maul
